Rich Lerner and The Groove have been laying down jams for several decades now. They’ve collected a loyal following by adhering to one simple rule; entertain your audience. By tirelessly dedicating themselves to that rule as well as bringing the funk and the noise, they have become kings of the almighty jam.

Their latest album Push On Thru is already another crowd pleaser. There’s a song for every life occasion. You’ve got your heartbreak, your bounce back, your brawl anthem, and your wizened traveler theme. Like, if Gandalf was cutting across America on a Harley or something. It’s all there.

As trends change and the world gets slicker, it’s important to have Rich Lerner and The Groove to remind us how to let it all loose and not give a shit for a while.

They also give back. In 2012, the band founded the annual Groove Jam Music Festival at Doodad Farm to benefit their local homeless shelter and food bank in Greensboro, North Carolina.
