Babi Pal’s project Flight Feathers was created in his garage. He’s proud of that and he should be. Like many successful things created in garages, his latest record Days Like These is a fine testament to that American spirit.
Pal’s music is rife with life lessons learned but is never burdened with sap. Days Like These is celebratory, engaging, and masterfully well done. It’s alternative country in the vein of Neil Young, Bruce Springstein, and Wilco, at times Jimmy Buffett-ish.
Pal’s lyrics conjures sun, sand, blue skies, dark clouds, and cornfields. With a relatable voice, the artist delves into heartbreak, longing, and songs for the modern everyman. We can picture Pal in his garage, making this music. Making the most out of his version of the American dream.
